Discover the stunning beauty and historic significance of the the Arade River, formerly the aquatic highway of the region, and the city of Silves with its spectacular Moorish castle and its Cathedral overlooking the town and the river below and scene of many a bloody battle between the Moors and Crusaders. We disembark in Silves for about 2 hours, enough time to wander the web of cobbled streets or partake of a tasty lunch on the quayside.
The approach to Silves offers a particularly stunning perspective of the city.

Take a relaxing trip away from the hustle and bustle of the coast and towns and we will reveal hidden secrets of the Arade and Odelouca rivers. A must for nature lovers with a wealth of wildlife and stunning scenery only visible on the river which narrows dramatically as we approach the Odelouca bridge. We also visit the natural spring park Fontes de Estombar.
The trip is about 3.5 hours.

Travelling eastwards we pass by all the stunning beaches Ferragudo has to offer (Angrinha, Grande, Molhe, Pintadinho, Caneiros) and on to Carvoeiro, and reveal some of the awesome rock formations and deep caves, carved over millennia by the wild Atlantic ocean, and hidden from view from the shore, home to a multitude of marine birds as well as fish and other aquatic widlife.

We can also go westwards past Praia da Rocha and the beautiful rock formations of João de Arens all the way to Alvor.
